Out For A Walk + Birthday Wishes

Today, Mommy and Daddy decided to take me out for a walk in Lake Merced! (My previous post of Lake Merced can be found here) Well, the other objective for a day out was to try out the new camera with natural sunlight. Of course, I was the model^^

Mommy and Daddy took turns being the camera man... and camera woman! It was so funny seeing them run far from one another and trying to capture a good shot, while adjusting the settings on the camera. Whenever there is sunlight, the settings need to be adjusted to accommodate the brightness level of the natural light. The same goes for the pictures when we are in the shades.

Trying out the focus

The settings were set too bright

The brightness is good

Looking handsome?? I think so^^

After a while, Daddy was getting the hang of adjusting the IOS and the shutter speed. Since natural lighting itself is bright when we were not in shades, the IOS would be set to 200~400 depending on the angle the picture is taken. In shades, some shots were taken with IOS set to 800. Don't forget to pay attention to the shutter speed too. We kind of neglected the aperture settings when we were capturing the pictures. Since Mommy and Daddy are new to DLSRs, the quality of their shots were not consistent.

My signature smile^^

Yes, I am marking my territories

I look like a bear

Woof!! Today is also my birthday eve!! I will be turning 4 this year. In doggy years, I will be 28^^ This year... Miku is not getting any cake! Awww... that is because I have already ate too many bakery goods on Tuesday. Daddy and Mommy took me to Pet Food Express for treats instead.

Okay! For my birthday wishes, I would love for my Daddy and Mommy to spend more time with me and buy more toys, treats, clothes, accessories, grooming kits, etc. for me!! AND, I want to go to dog parks and play with my fellow friends more often. (This also means I will be doing exercises and staying healthy). Most importantly, kisses everyday, every night, anywhere, anytime from my beloved humans!!

I will be ending the post here. Getting ready to countdown for my birthday!!

First DSLR Camera!

Woof woof! As mentioned in my previous post, my little family is waiting for the new Double Single-Lens Reflex (DSLR) camera to arrive. Got our camera yesterday and boy! The shipping was very quick! In addition, everything was packed really well.

According to godmother... "one should not use "auto mode" while using a DSLR camera". Mommy and daddy felt that they should not depend on "auto" too, so daddy scan through a bit of the manual and mommy went on Youtube. Hahahhahah! Funny thing is that mommy did not learn anything, but Daddy did.

Wow! Who knew that are so many things to learn about the DSLR cameras. Well... my daddy and mommy (and me) were totally clueless and are foreign to DSLR camera. It is like the camera have a language of their own! There are also many adjustments to make in order to capture a picture with the right lighting and focus.
(Below are pictures taken with the Canon)

I love posing with my toys *.*

Nom... Nom... Nom

Not letting go 0.0

From what we have learned, shutter speed, IOS, and aperture are very important when using manual settings. Adjustments made to either one of them can affect the quality of the picture. Did I mentioned that readjustments need to be made when zooming too? Ahahha! It is definitely pretty hard to get the hang of it...

So sleepy...

...have to stay awake...

As you can see... the quality of each picture are not consistence because of the different settings of aperture, IOS, and shutter speed. Mommy and Daddy... "add oil" in your photography skills^^

Knocked out Mikuuuuuuu

Good night for now....zzzZZZ

Meeting Bosco & Kobe

Good morning everyone! So who is Bosco and Kobe that was mentioned in the title? Hahahhaha! I will get to that very soon^^

A few days ago, mommy and daddy took me to dog park, and then to Auntie Suki's house for a hot pot party! Auntie Nicole and her couple went too! So there were 4 pairs of couples including my daddy and mommy. In addition to that, there was me, Bosco, and Kobe.

Bosco is a one year old Samoyed (Auntie Suki's baby) weighing close to 75lbs at the moment. Auntie Suki said Bosco is named after the Hong Kong actor/singer Bosco Wong. Kobe is a Siberian Husky, around 8 months old, who belongs to a friend of Auntie Suki. Currently, Kobe's mommy is on vacation, so Kobe is being babysitted by Auntie Suki and her family.

And there's daddy and me

Awww... I am the oldest of the 3, yet the smallest... d(=>.<=)b But in my own kind, I am considered as a bit bigger because the vet said average for Pomeranian should weight 7lbs. Now I weight 12.8lbs! Yes.... yes...I know...Miku needs to EXERCISE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Communicating?

Arrgggg! They starting to chase me!!

They are sooo huge compared to little me! Bosco is so beautiful. Daddy said Bosco was probably about 7x as me. Woof! I say 8x!!!

This is my smirk!

Bosco wants food

I was sooo sleepy

Miku was so sleepy after family day, playing in the dog park, playing with Bosco and Kobe, and bathy! Therefore, I feel asleep on the cool floor while Bosco was busy eating food when his humans are not looking^^

Looking forward for the next play day at the dog park!!

First Blog of the Year

Happy New Years everyone!! I feel like I have been slacking off on blogging and posting pictures. Mommy actually brought the Macbook Pro recently and decided that she wanted to return it. So... before she really return it, it's time for blogging!!!!!!!! (Yes, we are currently blogging with the MBP!)

If you are wondering why mommy wanted to return the Pro, it's because mommy thinks the Pro is too heavy for her. Now she wanted the Air. Best choice would be the MBP with retina display, but it is a bit too expensive.

Also, another purchase that mommy and daddy made recently is the Canon T3i DSLR camera!!!! Mommy have been wanting to get one, but just did not know which DSLR camera is good for beginners. Through all the rating and comments that was seen and heard, they settle with the T3i. It better be GOOD!!!! Hmmm... I should say that I am pretty happy because my humans said they purchased the camera because they want to shoot pictures and videos of me^^ Of course, the reason mommy made the MBP purchase was also because of little me!! Bless me to have such great parents!! Daddy checked today of the status of the T3i and the camera has been shipped out today. Yay! We are so excited to learn how to use it (both of my humans are newbie to DSLR cameras).

What's more exciting is that me and my humans are actually going on a road trip to LA again later at 3am!! It's going to be our first family trip in the year 2013! So exciting^^ Supposedly, we should be driving mommy's car down to LA, but because the tires on mommy's car does not have much thread, we decided to use auntie Helen's car. Daddy said it will be more safer since we are traveling and driving a lot for LA.

I will be ending the post here now. Auntie Helen called for dinner^^
We will be returning the MBP after dinner, bathy, sleep and be out of the house at 3am!

Talk to you guys later
