Afternoon in SFSU

Miku have been going to school with mommy very often. But since it's summer vacation now, mommy didn't have any class that requires attendance in class. A few days ago, my mommy and daddy took me to San Francisco State University (SFSU) because mommy needs to pay tuition.

I love strolling down the campus (or anywhere in general) because Miku like the smell of fresh air^^ The building that is on my left is the Humanities Building. We are heading towards the Student Service Building. 

 After mommy turned in her tuition, we decided to hang around the grass in front of the Humanities Building.

After a while, we have to get going. I did not want to leave yet, so I started to roll around the grass to show that I am protesting and wanted to stay longer.

Um... daddy and mommy did not fall for that trick. Daddy picked me up and took me out of the lovely grass.  Then we headed back to the car. I should start thinking of other ideas.

A Day Out in the Sun

So happy that Daddy and Mommy dun have work today, so today is family day!! Plus, it is a very very nice sunny day.

According to yelp, Joy Sushi in San Mateo was rated 4 stars with close to 900 reviews. Mommy and Daddy decided to give it a try.

Yup! That is the so called "Labada Roll", the "Joy King Roll", and the "Joy Scallop Roll". *Sigh* The whole time that Mommy and Daddy is enjoying their brunch, Miku was in the car enjoying my alone time. We met up with Brownie and his humans at Joy Sushi. Brownie was also enjoying his alone time while his humans were eating. Customer service and food wise in Joy Sushi was not what was expected after seeing the reviews on Yelp. Won't be stopping to eat at Joy Sushi anymore.

Shortly, Miku was picked up to go TPUMPS with the humans and Brownie.

As you can see, it was indeed a very nice sunny day. And I LOVE it!! Even though I was sweating in my fur. Daddy got me a small cup with water from TPUMPS because we all need to be hydrated 24/7.

Now! Time for Miku's play time. Off to dog park we go^^

This was the first time we have been to the Foster City Dog Park. Since it was not a weekend today, there was not much dogs in the park. If it wasn't so far from home (about 30 min), Miku would love to come everyday. The park was clean, big, and nice. Big dogs and small dogs area was separated by fences. On top of that!! Be ready...

Miku's First Attempt to Swim = Fail

The title says it all! Yes... this post is about Miku's attempt to swim!

The idea started after me and mommy watched Pomeranian Mink's  video of her swimming in a bathtub. Mommy thought it was so cute and wondered if I could swim or not. I was supposed to be taking my afternoon nap, but mommy and daddy took me to the bathroom and decided to let me try to swim.

Swimming lesson is about to begin...

I have never tried swimming before, so I am kind of worried. According to Clowie, I am supposed to get used to the water first, so I will be less afraid. And!! The most important technique is to have CONFIDENCE and RELAX throughout the whole process.

Later on, it turns out that I do not know how to paddle! Oh no!! When mommy holds me up, I just froze and not move at all. Seems like I could not get to paddle yet, so daddy decided to give me a bathy and let me try swimming next time.

I think I need to practice some more. Like what Pete Chan said, "Practice makes Pawfect"! Really thank you so much to Pete Chan and Clowie for the awesome advice and support because it did help me out very much! Next time I will bring a bath toy into the tub and play with it^^

Miku's Summer Furcut

I am all ready for summer. Many of the humans and my friends have seen me in my summer furcut, but I wanted to post them in my blog too. Recently, mommy and daddy took me to Groom.

Daddy dropped me off in the morning at 9:00am! Mommy gave daddy an order to take a before-picture of me with my long fur since he is dropping me off, so he took it.

I look so sad because daddy is leaving me here. The humans in Groom are very nice, but I prefer to be with daddy and mommy. The lady  (we never asked for her name) who is holding me does a great job on my furcut everytime I come. 

Mommy picked me up later on the day! I was soooo happy to see her and she was so happy to see me. She ended up forgetting to take a picture of me after my haircut while the lady was holding me. 

As mommy and me was on the way to school, I noticed that the fur on my face was not as round and perfect-looking!! Oh no no no no... no way that we had to $70 for a uneven-looking furcut. What's more to it... my fur on my ears were not trimmed.

Mommy knew right away that my furcut was not done by the lady because we come here wayyy to frequently, so we know her skills. So after class (around 5:00pm), mommy called Groom. Mommy told them that they did a bad job on my furcut and that we wanted to stop by and have my fur cut the way she wanted. The lady happily said okay.

Miku arrived at Groom again with mommy and this time, Miku not happy and did not want to separate from mommy. So Miku growled at the lady when she wanted to take me back to the table for re-grooming. Yea... growling did not help, so Miku started to cry.

Turns out that the reason Groom did not trim the fur on my ear was because some dogs actually prefer that style. But since summer is on the way, Miku would like the ear furs to be trimmed. I like to look more "summerish"!! Groom actually closes at 5, but they still allowed me to come in to fix any of the imperfections. Really appreciate that from Groom.
